At Velvet Grounds, specialty coffee is not a marketing term. It is a standard. Every coffee on our menu scores above 80 points on the Specialty Coffee Association scale, sourced from farms we know by name, at altitudes where complexity thrives.

Our baristas are not order-takers. They are trained to guide you, recommend the right brew method for your palate, and adjust the extraction to your taste. Pull up a stool and ask us anything.

Where It Comes From

Traceability is not optional.

We work exclusively with importers who know the farmers by name. Every coffee on our bar comes with a full traceability card: the farm, the altitude, the process, and the harvest year.

Our rotating single origins change every four to six weeks, following the harvest calendar of each growing region. This means you are always drinking coffee at the peak of its season, never from a warehouse shelf that has been sitting too long.

High pressure, short time, concentrated intensity. The foundation of every milk-based drink on our menu.

Gravity does the work. Hot water is poured in slow, deliberate circles over a paper filter, drawing out clarity and brightness.

Direct Sourcing

We work with importers who have long-standing relationships with growers. We know the elevation, the processing method, and the people behind each bag.

Small-Batch Roasting

Our roasting partner processes each origin separately, in small batches, to highlight its natural characteristics rather than force a generic flavor profile.

Precise Dialing

Each new bag of coffee is calibrated on our grinder and machine. Grind size, dose, and yield are adjusted until the extraction is right, not until the clock says so.

Served to You

Every cup that leaves our bar has been tasted that morning. If it is not right, it does not go out. That is a standard we hold every single shift.
